Cloud service for you

At Huyton Web Services we use AWS (Amazon Web Services) for our cloud services, there are many others such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform, but we have chosen AWS for price, service and skills.

Cloud services refer to services delivered over the internet by companies who host and manage computing resources. These services allow users and businesses to access and use computing resources, such as servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and more, without the need to invest in and maintain physical hardware or infrastructure. Cloud services are typically delivered on a pay-as-you-go or subscription basis, supplying scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.

Costs are kept down while keeping things simple... in theory. In practice you will almost certainly pay more for Cloud Hosting than other hosting offerings

Cloud Services provide two features that Managed Hosting or Dedicated Server hosting do not:

Pay for what you use – If you need more power, you will pay more and the service can scale up. If you need less, the service can scale down and you pay less e.g., Black Friday for ecommerce or gig tickets going on sale for a ticket site.
Services, not server space – If we need a new database, we simply use a database service, we do not install a database server, manage the network connections, security, etc.

All this means costs are kept down while keeping things simple... in theory. In real terms it means you can feel more confident your website will stay up under heavy load, but you will almost certainly pay more. There are billing alarms and tech alarms that can help you budget, you can choose what you want to do if you are under heavy load.
